Gustavo Niskier is a lawyer with over two decades of national and international experience, combining a strong academic background with executive roles at a major Brazilian multinational. Throughout his career, he has led legal, compliance, and international affairs functions, with on-the-ground experience in Brazil, Mozambique, and Indonesia, and direct exposure to projects across jurisdictions such as China, the United States, Canada, the European Union, Saudi Arabia, among others.
His practice focuses on providing strategic legal advice in complex regulatory environments, with particular emphasis on Environmental Law and ESG, corporate compliance, international sanctions and export controls (Trade Compliance), as well as data privacy and artificial intelligence governance. His experience brings together legal expertise, risk management, and geopolitical insight, supporting companies in decision-making processes involving high regulatory and institutional exposure.
He is a professor of Environmental Law and International Sanctions and serves as Brazil Ambassador for the International Sanctions and Export Control Society, actively contributing to discussions on sanctions compliance, innovation, sustainability, and the legal implications of emerging technologies. He is recognized for his ability to translate regulatory complexity into practical, business-oriented solutions.
