Claudio Miranda is a lawyer, part-time professor and has a doctor of law degree at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) Law School, with multidisciplinary knowledge and extensive experience in business law. He joined CGV in 2020 as the partner in charge of the corporate law practice area, with focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, banking law, business contracts, arbitration and litigation, court-supervised reorganization and bankruptcy. Over the years, Claudio has served clients in these areas of varying sizes and economic sectors, from small businesses to large multinational groups.
Claudio also has solid academic credentials, working as a professor of business law at the Rio de Janeiro Magistrates School (EMERJ) and at the School of Administration and Accounting of Rio de Janeiro Federal University (FACC/UFRJ). He also is a visiting professor in the MBA in Finance program of COPPEAD/UFRJ, professor of business law at the Superior School of Public Attorneys (ESAP-PGE/RJ and Cândido Mendes University (a partnership program offered by the Rio de Janeiro State Chapter of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ), and professor in the Postgraduate Law Program of Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-RIO). He formerly was a professor of commercial law at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) Law School (2013-2016).
He has published many legal articles and given presentations at relevant academic events.
